When do we meet?

 

We meet every Wednesday to dance it out at 20:30 at Hot Moves Dance Club in Brasov (Strada Carpatilor nr.60, Incinta Metrom) or every Wednesday at 20:00 at Green Hours in Bucharest (Calea Victoriei 120).  We recommend you arrive a few minutes before the class starts so that you have time to change your shoes.

 

 

 

How much does it cost?

 

Members of the Swing Dance Society pay a monthly fee of 50 RON for the rent of the venue we hold our classes in and the expenses (heat, electricity, etc.)

 

 

 

Do I need to know how to dance?

 

Nope.  Come every Wednesday and our dance trainers, who have plenty of experience in the matter, will teach you all you need to know. 

 

 

 

What do I wear?

 

We think it’s important that you feel comfortable and are able to enjoy yourself when attending classes. So wear something you can easily move about in! There is no dress code for the weekly classes.

 

 

 

What about the shoes?

 

When you’re starting out, just grab a pair of comfortable shoes (like sneakers) put them in a bag and come to class! Make sure you have something which stays securely on your feet (not flip flops!) and which you can spin easily in (very high heels or shoes with sticky soles are not recommended). After a while, you may want to invest in some dance shoes – you can ask us about it!

 

 

 

Do I need to bring someone to dance with?

 

Nope! We change partners during class because having the opportunity to dance with different people makes you dance better and it's the best way to learn to lead and to follow. You’ll find the Society’s classes, nights out and events very friendly, open and sociable! So, don't worry about coming on your own - there'll be lots of people to dance with!

 

 

 

Do I need to book a spot at the class?

 

No, you can just drop in! Surprise us and we'll surprise you!
